This scenic shot is taken at the beachfront park in Fairhope, Alabama alongside Mobile Bay in the opposite direction of the city's main pier. The beachfront park here is home to many geese, ducks and other birds, an artesian well, some swings, and other rides for the kiddies to play on while enjoying the day swimming and picnicking.
Although I have no formal training in photography, I have always enjoyed taking pictures. Photography has been a hobby for over 30 years: from the simplicity of a tele-instamatic camera, to learning the intricacies of the more challenging 35mm. I explored 35mm low light photography at Mardi Gras parades with my dad's old Argus camera which had no light attachment. Also used it on vacations, still getting by without any light attachment - the camera was so old an attachment could no longer be purchased for it, if it in deed was ever available. Later, I purchased a Yashica 35GSN and had the ability to use external lighting with it. Eventually I added an APS camera to the mix and in recent years have gone digital. I have truly enjoyed the...
