Bush's Beans, founded in 1897 and situated in Chestnut Hills, Tennessee (not far from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg), has a delightful general store, museum and cafe in its original building. This general store location is full of displays and historical information about Bush's Beans, as well as being a conventional shop where you can purchase not only, you guessed it, an assortment of Bush's Beans products, but also many other interesting items as memorabilia. The flying pig is just one of many displays, so be sure to look up and watch him travel around the suspended rails near the ceiling. Digital manipulation gives the original photo this glowing effect.

Although I have no formal training in photography, I have always enjoyed taking pictures. Photography has been a hobby for over 30 years: from the simplicity of a tele-instamatic camera, to learning the intricacies of the more challenging 35mm. I explored 35mm low light photography at Mardi Gras parades with my dad's old Argus camera which had no light attachment. Also used it on vacations, still getting by without any light attachment - the camera was so old an attachment could no longer be purchased for it, if it in deed was ever available. Later, I purchased a Yashica 35GSN and had the ability to use external lighting with it. Eventually I added an APS camera to the mix and in recent years have gone digital. I have truly enjoyed the...
