Description
The Grand Ole Opry is an icon of country music known worldwide, attracting visitors not only from the United States but from around the world. It was founded on November 28, 1925 by George D. Hay as an hour long barn dance broadcast live on radio station WSM in Nashville, Tennessee. It is currently the longest running radio broadcast in history showcasing country music with a variety of performers from different genres of music, including bluegrass, folk, gospel and comedic performances. This "Home of American Music" is truly "Country's Most Famous Stage" and well worth any effort to attend one of its many performances featuring today's legendary entertainers!
